Ice Skating

We went ice skating at the Olympic Oval yesterday and it was so much fun! It was Laney's first time and she was a trooper. She fell a few times, but it didn't even phase her. She just kept on going and had a blast.

Highlights of the Week

Well, my camera is broken, so no Christmas pics. I should have known something was up when I went to pack the camera and the battery was in backwards. Laney said, "Oh yeah, I dropped it." But anyways......
Here are two highlights of my week:
1. I stepped on a patch of ice while getting out of my vehicle before school. I landed right on my butt. Yes, several students saw me, but I don't think they heard the bad word I said. Kamry happened to be with me and she just stood there and laughed at me. I'm so graceful.

2. A second grader asked me if I was still pregnant, to which I replied, "No, I had my baby 9 months ago." Comments like that always boost your self esteem!

Laney was going through the Christmas totes out in the garage when she found the snowman stuff. She came in and said, "Look, Mom, I'm smoking a pipe!'

I felt just like the girl on Confessions of a Shopaholic. I was sitting at the computer saying, "Do I need these? DO I NEED THESE? I have feet, therefore I need boots." Click. Done. On my porch the next day. Oh, how I love Zappos!
