He's a happy boy as long as someone's holding him.

Our basement is finished! Kamry moved downstairs, Laney moved into Kam's old room, we now have a guest room, and Laney has a toy room!

Mice at Midnight

Last night I fell asleep in the chair with Asher and I woke up at midnight. I got up to turn off all the lights and noticed the back door was open.
I thought Steve had probably escaped, and I was right. I went down the stairs to catch him and figured I might as well feed the rabbit while I was there. I started pouring the food and a mouse fell out of the bag and into the food dish. I shouted an obscenity and then I screamed so loud when the mouse ran into the cage, that I thought the neighbors would be calling the police! Gross!!

Grandparents

Grandpa and Grandma Black

It's so hard to see your grandparents going downhill, especially when they've always been so healthy and active. You just think they're going to be around forever. My grandma always said, "You're my favorite, but don't tell the other kids." I'm so glad that my girls have gotten to know my grandparents and been able to spend time with them. My grandma's mind is going, and my grandpa's health has taken a turn for the worse. He just lost a toe and part of his foot with his diabetes. There are going to be some big changes in their lives since they are not going to be able to take care of each other anymore.

Laney has been really cute and nice with the baby, but she's been doing other naughty things since he got here. The other day she came in and said, "Kamry's American Girl doll has short hair now." I thought surely she wouldn't have gotten out the scissors and cut the doll's hair, but I was wrong!
