Do You Need a Good Book to Read?

I just finished reading Shanghai Girls by Lisa See, and it was so good! It's about two sisters in the 1930's in Shanghai. Their father ends up losing everything, and they are forced into arranged marriages to Chinese Americans living in California. Her other books, Snowflower and the Secret Fan, and Peony in Love were really good too. You can read a sample chapter of Shanghai Girls at http://www.lisasee.com/

Kamry's Almost a Teenager!

Kamry and her friend, Jessica

I can't believe that Kamry will be thirteen this weekend! It's crazy how time flies! She's getting too grown up. It's been a big change not having her right there at school with me every day, but she is loving middle school in Herriman.

Monkey Business!

Steve has been sleeping in the crib lately. He thinks he's our baby boy.
Kamry put the Polly Pockets up high, but it didn't stop Laney!

My Family is Awesome!

I must have gotten whatever Kamry had Monday. I spent the day sick in bed yesterday, getting up only to puke, while Laney tore the house apart. She used every glass in the house, broke one, and wrote on one glass with a Sharpie for some reason. She got out every Polly Pocket and Barbie and spread them throughout the house. Then, Chavis surprised me by coming home before 9:00 and brought me a Jamba Juice, cleaned up the house, fed the girls, did the dishes, folded laundry, and bathed Laney. Kamry even pitched in! It was so nice to get up for work this morning and have a clean house. Thanks, guys!

Boy Names

I seriously need help with boy names. It's so hard when you teach school because you associate every name with some former student! Everyone, please feel free to make some suggestions so I can get a list started. Thanks!
