Surfin' Utah Lake

Yes, Laney really is driving the boat. She does pretty good, but she doesn't watch where she's going. Good thing Utah Lake's so big!
Kamry, the wakeboarder!

Chavis is a master of wakesurfing. No rope!! All the fun of surfing without all the paddling and the sharks!

I've had to learn how to drive the boat so Chavis can surf and wakeboard.

Here's Chavis and his surf board.

We did absolutely nothing exciting this weekend because of the weather, but last weekend we took the boat out on Utah Lake.

Mean Eyebrows

During the volleyball tournament at school this week a 5th grade student who was writhing around on the floor, biting his arm, and talking to himself looked at me and said, "You have MEAN eyebrows!" I told Kamry about it, and now all week she's been staring at me and telling me I have mean eyebrows. Great.
(For those of you who also work at my school, it was Pete. Yes, that explains alot.)

Greg Hahn at Trolley Square

Staci and I went to the new Wiseguy's Comedy at Trolley Square where the Hard Rock Cafe used to be.

We saw Greg Hahn and he was hilarious!

You can order food and drinks while you watch the show.

The tickets were only $10 and you can buy them online at Smithstix.

Good times!! Thanks for going with me, Staci!

Lake Havasu Spring Break '09

Palm trees and beautiful sunsets! What more could you ask for?
Apparently, clothing is optional on the weekends at Havasu, so you may want to blindfold your children, husbands, etc. as you float down the channel that leads to the London Bridge. There is some crazy business going on there!!

Here we are behind a boat that sold beer bongs, pasties, and airbrush tatoos. We found out what the pasties were all about when we went to the bridge on Saturday. Some girls just don't want tan lines, I guess!

They have reconstructed the London Bridge at Lake Havasu. We went to get ice cream at a little shop by the bridge everyday. There are hotels and restaurants nearby. FYI: It was fairly safe on Thursday and Friday, but it's not really a family place on the weekends. We definitely saw some interesting things!!

Laney loves to go for boat rides!

Loading the boat

This was our first trip to Havasu. We drove through a blizzard to get there, but it was so nice in Arizona!
We all got awesome tans and sunburns!

The Living Planet Aquarium

The girls have been begging to go to the aquarium, so we went during Spring Break while the weather was bad!
