Another Steve Story...

Last night Kamry brought Peter Rabbit upstairs, wrapped in a blanket like a baby. I told her to put him down by Steve to see what they would do. They sniffed each other and then Peter came up behind Steve, put his front legs up on him and started biting his back! I guess Peter just wanted to do what bunnies do best! Good thing Steve is a neutered male, or we might have a bunch of little cabbits running around (if there really was such a thing)!

Crazy Steve!

Our cat, Steve, has always been a little jumpy. We found him as an extremely skinny adult cat with a broken leg, so he was probably abused. Well, Sunday morning my parents were over and we were having a lovely breakfast of French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Steve was in the kitchen eating when Chavis walked past and startled him. He was so scared that he jumped up onto the stove, ran across the counter, jumped over the sink, knocked over my latte, ran through the butter dish and then ran across the bar right through everyone' s plates. It was like something you see on movies! Poor Steve! He hid out for the rest of the day.

White Elephant

Laney's New Room!

Out with the pink and in with the blue!


The transformation has begun! Laney was not too happy about me taking down all of her pink stuff, but she ended up liking the jungle animals when it was all set up.

Do Men Nest?

Well, Chavis decided to finish the basement after all! The framing that was started last year was finished in two days! I guess Laney won't have to share a room with a boy, now! Kamry will move downstairs, Laney will move into Kamry's old room, and I'll have a guest room and a toy room in the basement!! I have finally started "nesting"-- buying baby clothes, and planning on how to decorate a boy's room. Could suddenly deciding to finish the basement be Chavis's way of nesting?

Kamry, The Ice Fisherman

Papa was dying to take Kamry ice fishing with him over Christmas break. She finally went with him the day we left Richfield. She caught 6 fish!

This Might Be "The One"

I think this bedding will work for a baby boy and Laney's room! I'll just have to find some brown, orange, and aqua pillows for Laney's cream bedspread.
