Mice at Midnight

Last night I fell asleep in the chair with Asher and I woke up at midnight. I got up to turn off all the lights and noticed the back door was open.
I thought Steve had probably escaped, and I was right. I went down the stairs to catch him and figured I might as well feed the rabbit while I was there. I started pouring the food and a mouse fell out of the bag and into the food dish. I shouted an obscenity and then I screamed so loud when the mouse ran into the cage, that I thought the neighbors would be calling the police! Gross!!
