Kamry's Little Friend

The Easter Bunny surprised the kids with two baby chicks and a baby duck! It was so cute! The duck would just sit on Kamry's shoulder! Luckily, these critters are staying at Grandma's house.

Best Day Ever!!

Last Tuesday was awesome! It started out with a facial at Aveda. I had never had one before, but I thought I would book one because I needed some serious relaxation. My children were about to drive me to drink. . . heavily. Did you know that during a facial you also get your arms, neck, feet, and legs rubbed? Who knew? Loved it! I would highly reccommend it! Later in the afternoon I met some friends for a pedicure at Wild Orchid. I got French tips with Japanese cherry blossoms on my big toes. We ended the evening with some Alaskan King Crab legs at my beloved Market Street. It doesn't get better than that, does it?

Sadly, Spring Break has come to an end. I am dreading tomorrow when I have to return to work and the little kids have to go back to the babysitter. We have gotten so good at jacking around lately. . .shopping, swimming, eating out, going to the gym. . .

But last Tuesday was the best day ever! Thanks, my friends who participated!

My Baby Will be One Tomorrow!

He says ba ba, ma ma, and da da.

He has two bottom teeth, and the two top teeth are just poking through.

He stands, but is not quite walking yet.

He is so snuggly!

I just can't get enough of this boy!

Laney and Asher

The other night Chavis was trying to get Asher to go to bed, but he was fussing and having a fit. I heard Laney say, "Put that baby in a cage and put the lid on it!"

Asher's One Year Pics

These are just a few of the pictures Asher had taken at Fotofly. I love how his eyes match the blue door.

It looks like someone left this poor baby out on the doorstep.

(Some days I would like to!)

Looking Back...

I can't believe this little boy is going to be one next month!
I was just looking back at some of the posts from last year at this time. I was complaining about pregnancy: sore feet and pinched nerves, lack of sleep and weight gain.
I thought this baby would never get here.
I remember looking over at him and hearing him cry for the first time and thinking,
"Wow, I can't believe I have a boy! He's really mine!"
He is such a character. He's so different from the girls. If he finds a toy he has to pound it on the floor and the wall and throw it. He is such a fast crawler and he always heads straight for the stairs. He turns around and slides down the stairs as fast as he can.
He is such a daddy's boy. He reaches for him the minute he walks in the door from work.
Asher has been the most difficult/spoiled baby of the three,
but he was definitely the easiest delivery. You can't beat a scheduled c-section!
I thought it was funny that I had to walk down to the operating room and hop up onto the operating table myself. I remember the anesthesiologist, an older lady, saying to the nurses,"It's way too cold in this operating room for a baby. You need to turn some heat on." I couldn't believe that in 30 minutes there would really be a baby in the bassinet sitting just to the left of me. Once they got him out, I just had to turn my head and I could see him crying and squirming.
It's been so fun to have a boy in our family. It's hard to remember what it was like without him.
We sure do love you, sweet boy!

We're Back!

Here's what we've been doing:
It looks relaxing, right? But going on vacation with children is so NOT relaxing.
I need a vacation after that vacation!

We made it back safe and sound from our San Antonio vacation.
I finally did get a new camera, so pictures to come!
